About Me

Welcome! I'm Steven Muskal. You can call me Steve. I'm excited to share my journey with you. My life has been a rich tapestry of engineering, science, entrepreneurship, music, and fitness, all woven together with a passion for feeling good. Whether drumming in my music studio, optimizing sleep and health routines, or developing innovative solutions, my passion lies in continuous improvement and discovery.

My Journey:

  • Scientific Expertise: As a PhD scientist in biophysical chemistry and a formally trained engineer in engineering chemistry and computer science, I bring a scientific approach to everything I do. My background enables me to explore, understand and distill down even the most complex systems. I am constantly learning and integrating new fields into my work.

  • Entrepreneurship: As the CEO and advisor, I've led and mentored numerous ventures, always driven by a desire to solve problems and create value. My scientific training underpins my entrepreneurial strategies, ensuring they are grounded in data and evidence.

  • Music: Music is an amazing fuel, an energy that can be easily shared with great efficiency. I play drums and collaborate with others to create music, often leveraging my software engineering background to record, capture, and share the music created in my music studio. Music is not just a hobby; it's a crucial part of my exploration into how sound and rhythm impact health and wellness. Music can bring together people from all backgrounds. Music enables amazing communication even if players speak different languages or share different beliefs.

  • Fitness: I'm a fitness junkie. Exercise - i.e. engaged movement - is not just a habit or an addiction, it's a basic requirement for me. I’m committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle through dexterous movement, hot and cold therapies, whole food, and effective sleep. My scientific background helps me optimize my approach to fitness with the overarching principle of simply feeling good.

My Philosophy:

While I have spent the last several decades helping pharmaceutical companies discover and develop new drug therapeutics, my true passion lies in helping the body become healthier through the stimulation of endogenous (i.e. from within) responses. As a chemist, I understand the challenges of dosing exogenous (i.e. from outside) compounds. Drugs, supplements, etc. work (or don’t work!) differently on different people. They often don’t absorb properly or reach their intended “targets” at the right time and place. My approach focuses on exploring different, often more accessible strategies to enhance our body's amazing ability thrive. Biology is amazing. Nobody truly understands it. Everyone is different. And frankly, you know your biology better than anyone else. You just have to dial-in, listen to how it responds, and modify the things you do every day - from breathing, to moving, to sleeping.

Preventing, or at least staving off disease can be a lot easier than treating it. By prioritizing quality sleep, nutritious eating, and regular physical activity, we can significantly improve how we feel. Wellness is a journey, and everyone has their own. My goal is to share my insights and strategies. I let you pick and chose what might work for you.
